The day I saw Ringo in concert!!!!
I was lucky to see Ringo Starr in concert in July of the summer of 1995. My Mom found out about the concert by reading the town paper. There was a big article titled "With A Little Help From His Friends." The article was about Ringo doing a world tour. So, I asked my parents if we could go to this concert. My Mom called the New Jersey Garden State Art Center and asked if it was sold out, luckily it was not. Then my Mom bought three tickets, one for me,herself and my Dad. I so happy and excited to see him in concert. Finally the day came for me to see the concert. Ringo performed with his Third All-Starr Band. We finally arrived at the place and there were Beatle fans everywhere. People were wearing Beatle shirts, Paul McCartney tour shirts, John Lennon tee-Shirts (the one with the picture that shows him wearing a muscle shirt that says "New York City") and of course tee-shirts from Ringo's last world tours. I was wearing the shirt that has the Abbey Road cover on the front and says Abbey Road on the back. Also, there were representatives from the Private Issue card there, because Ringo has his own credit card that he designed. So, my dad signed up for the card under a fake name (we never got the card) and got a free cd for just signing up for the card. The cd had live performances from has past world tours. Then I bought a tee-shirt and a program. The tee-shirt had a cartoon drawing of Ringo dressed to look like a king with a octopus wrapped around him. The back of the tee--shirt had the names of the songs that they performed at the concert and said "Ringo and His Third All--Starr Band World Tour." Then we went to find our seats. The seats were far away, but I could still see Ringo, because I had binoculars. Ringo is so short and his nose looks bigger in person. I meet two ladies sitting next to me. They saw Paul McCartney in concert and Yoko Ono sat a bunch of rows in front of them at another concert (I think it was Paul's). Then the concert started. The Band was Ringo, his son Zak, John Entwistle from The Who, Randy Bachman from Guess Who and Bachman-Turner OverDrive, Felix Calaiere of The Young Rascals, Mark Farner from The Grand Funk RailRoad, Billy Preston (you probably know him from playing on The Beatle songs on the Let It Be album), and Mark Rivera from The Billy Joel Band. They performed songs like Yellow Submarine, Little Help From My Friends, Boys, Taking Care Of Business, Good Lovin', Groovin', Will It Go Around in Circles?, Boris The Spider, Photograph and It Don't Come Easy and including Zak's and Mark Rivera's Drum solo's. They closed the concert with A Little Help From My Friends. And everyone stood up and sang along. Also, during the concert Ringo said funny things. First, he called Felix Calaiere, "Felix Calamari" by mistake. He asked the audience, "What's my name?" Everyone yelled "Ringo". He replied with "At least I did not forget my name." He then asked "if anyone had any free hours tonight?" Everyone yelled and screamed. This concert was fantastic. I will always remember the concert and that day. John Lennon 1940-????
On the night of December 8, 1980 a terrible tradegy occured. One of the greatest musicianswas killed. A man named Mrk David Chapman shot this beloved musician a few times in the shoulder and back which caused him to bleed to death. I know that this man will never forget what he did. This caused many hearts to mourn. No one knows why he killed except for the cold-blooded killer himself. John Lennon was just a simple man who never meant to hurt anyone. All that he wanted was for everyone on this planet to have peace and love. Is that so hard to ask of you? Mr. Lennon wasn't just a musician, but a son, nephew, husband, father, musician, writer, poet and teacher. He was also in the greatest band of all time, The Beatles. Some of his songs were about love, and when you listen to them try to find the message that is hidden in the songs of The Beatles. Some people out there ,misunderstood John Lennon, but why? People also jumped to conclusions when something was taken wrong or said wrong before they knew what was really meant by this. For those of you out there that did that, I take pity no you! This Mr. Chapman did to John what many of us want to do to him. A theory that I have is that when John said that he didn't want to die at 40, Mark David Chapman remembered this and did exactly what John didn't want, get killed wshen he was only 40. I know that if John were alive today the world would be a lot more peaceful. I know that many of you think that since John is dead that we should all forget about everything that him, Yoko, and The Beatles tried to do. No way! John's body may be gone, but his soul is still within every single one of us! So please don't forget John. FabFour4 (Now Smile7) From: Beatle569
Cynthia and John
John Winston Lennon met Cynthia Powell in art college in 1958. When Cynthia first saw John she described her feeling as "scared to death" John was one of the Teddy boys and his hair was always greased, wore leather jackets, and wasn't one to fall for a goody two shoes like miss Powell. He was a trouble maker and had a wicked tounge but Cynthia or "Cyn" as he would like to call her didn't know why but she was deeply attracted to him. They were complete opposites except that they both lost a parent and they were both blind as a bat. The only way Cyn could get John to notice her was to change the was she dressed. She started to wear black short skirts and even dyed her hair blond. This certainly got John's attention at a part they both attened and they began dating. They got so close that once Cynthia had to pay John's tuition because he was broke. Cynthia got pregnant in 1962 and John Winston Lennon married Cynthia Powell. In 1963 their son John Charles Julian was born. They unfortunatly divorced in 1968 when John met Yoko. He needed Yoko because he never grew up with his mother and he needed someone to call the shots and protect him which Yoko proved to do when , when he was married to Cynthia he was the on to protect her and he called all the shots. I truly believed that John still had a strong feeling for Cynthia until he died. From: Meg6212
Paul -- Can't give a little help to this friend
Paul McCartney was invovled in a legal problem due to Lily Evans, the widow of former Beatles road manager Mal Evans. She found a scrap of paper on which McCartney wrote the lyrics to "With a Little Help from My Friends" 30 years ago. On January 9th, Paul McCartney charged her for trying to sell something that she didn't truely own. His lawyers got a block on the sale because Mal Evans was holding the lyrics as their employee, and now that ownership was not valid. ``There is no question that they ever belonged to anyone other than the Beatles,'' McCartney said in a statement on the 9th. Mrs. Evans has worked as a secretary since her husband's death 21 years ago. She said auctioneers at Sotheby's estimated that the paper could be worth up to $100,000. ``I didn't know why he would want to do that,'' she said. ``It wouldn't be for the money and he lets other people sell, so I don't know why he would want to stop me.'' Geoff Baker, McCartney's spokesman, said McCartney had offered twice to help Mrs. Evans if she was going through rough times, but that she had not accepted his offer. ``I don't wish to cause any trouble for Mrs. Evans or for her children, whom I remember fondly, but I do feel strongly that these original manuscripts should be returned to their rightful owners,'' McCartney said in his statement. Now things seem to have quieted down about this, since I couldn't find anymore information. From: Shake3 Most people think that the first Beatle single was Love Me Do, but it was not. While in Hambrug, Germany the Beatles hooked up with British musician, Tony Sheridan. They recorded a song called, "My Bonnie". It was released under the name Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers in Germany. Meghan From: Ctmoonbeam
Paul, Dead or Alive?
In the later years of the Beatles fame there was a rumor about Paul. That rumor was that he had died in a car crash. There were about 53 clues that were about this rumor. I am not going to waste your time and tell you all of the clues. There was a rumor that they had the winner of a Paul McCartney look alike contest. This man's name was William Campell. This was in some peoples opinoin was to keep the Beatles popular. I am not exactly sure where it came from and why it happened but everyone knew about it qand some believed it. I believe that it will always be remembered, in fact there was an article in my newspaper about it last year. I was watching John Lennon interviews from 1971 and he said that the romor that Paul was dead was a complete surprise to them all. Well I don't believe that. Do you? -Colleen {Ctmoonbeam} If you would like the them e-mail Ctmoonbeam for the 53 Paul is dead clues. Beatle's Day By Day
What was the main thing on your Christmas list? For many people it was one of 3 Beatle's calendars. There are 3 kinds of Beatle's calendars. They are the 12 month calendar, the 16 month calendar and the day by day calendar. Each calendar is a great gift to give to somebody or to buy for yourself. The day by day calendar has a treasury of information about the Fab 4 and their lives. The calendar also mentions about the first two anthologies. It talks about everything like Sgt.Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band. There are great pictures in the daily calendar. It also talks about their albums like Let it Be, White album, Magical Mystery tour and all of our favorite albums. The day by day calendar costs $9.99. If you aren't into that day by day calendar thing I suggest the monthly calendar. These two calendars are great and loaded with great pictures. The 12 month calendar is about $ 9.99 and the 16 month calendar is about $12 to $13. The calendars have a special area to write in names of friends and their numbers. If you have a hard time remembering special dates or you just haven't picked out your calendar for this new coming year, think about one of the Beatle's calendars. It's worth your money and enjoyment. By Maloney81 From: Rosy26 The John Lennon Art Show was in a building in a busy shopping area of Boston. I saw a sign for it in the buildings window. It said "Imagine. A John Lennon Art Show upstairs" and it showed two of his pictures. So my sister and I decided to go check it out. The pictures were awesome. Even though there were only four pictures. My favorite was the one of him and Yoko Ono lying in bed with their fingers doing peace signs. John Lennon drew these paintings. It was so awesome!!!!

Eleanor Rigby: Real woman or imagination? Well, there really was an Eleanor Rigby in Liverpool, but Paul did not know her. He just made up the name. >> WRONG! Rigby's was a fancy clothing shop in Liverpool. Eleanor was the female heroness in Help!. Although Eleanor Rigby existed ( she was something like the great, great, grandma of the clothing stor owner), and her grave was in Liverpool, Paul did not write the song about her. Also in your newsletter, it said they went from Beatles to Silver Beatles to Beatles. ah-ah! It says in my book that, but after reading I found that they went Beetles, Silver Beetles, Silver Beatles, Beatles. Ob-ladi-Ob-la-da? No idea! I do know, though, well I think I read....Some guy in France, in jail, said that that was the name of his band, and when Paul had visited there, he had seen advertisements for it, and had copied the name without giving him anything. The court ruled in the guy's favour, and he ended up getting enough money to bail himself outta jail. Alright. Bye! ---{----{---{@ -Itallow p.s. Beatles Rule! From: hgcbn12@pacific.net.sg (Christina) Did you hear about what chapman is said to be going to do when and if he gets out four years from now on perol? On his arm there is a tatoo that says Fab Four you're next. Chapman doesn't like how they are using tapes of john's voice for the anthologys and if and when he gets out he is going to kill the three other beatles!!!!!!!!! Thought you would like to know. It was in the newspaper. Christina From: Ctmoonbeam I have something to say about the Elanor Rigby thing! They actually knew a guy named Tom Mcenzie and he was in the army and used to not his socks because there was nothing to do and he needed to stay awake! The father came about because they always said that he was like a father to them!!! COLLEEN From: REELMACK WE'RE BEATLES FANS!!!!!!!!! Have you ever been made fun of because you like the Beatles? If you get made fun of because you like them don't take it!! (I'm not saying punch the guy/girl) Just say I'm a Beatle fan and to heck with you. Than start singing I Wanna Hold your Hand or Yesterday or Paperback Writer ect. as loud as you can until he/she shuts up. (Hey it really works.)

Beatles Bits
From: Shake3 Penny Lane with the B side being Strawberry Fields was the only Beatle album after Love Me Do (17) not to reach number one. A travesty on the part of the part of the music industry and public. The Beatles remained at number 2 behind Inglebert Humperdink. Also the name Beetles came from Stuart Sutcliffe Johns best friend from art college who played bass for the Beatles untill 1961. John thought the name The Crickets would be a good name for a British band (Buddy Holly and the Crickets) and Stu sugested The Beatles. John, unable to resist a pun, changed it to Beatles. like he said,"When you read it it`s a bug but when you say it it`s beat music". Another common story is that a man on a flying carpet flew by their window and said, "You are Beatles with an 'A' " they said,"Thank you Mr. man". and we are. Meghan
