1. The Beatle hairdo got created when George was staying in a hotel in Germany. He went swimming and his hair got all weird. He didn't have a comb, brush, or hair dryer, so he left it like that and everyone wanted to make it look like that. George said "it was a fluke!" 2. Paul's fave food is steak. His birthday is June 18, 1942. 3. John got shot by Mark Chapman in 1980. His birthday is October 9, 1942. Chapman is still in jail today. Check here next time for more great Beatle facts! Congrats Sir Paul!

That's right. Here's an article from the Chicago Tribune explaining: Former Beatle Paul McCartney was knighted recently as Sir Paul McCartney, when Queen Elizabeth II bestowed New Year's honors on Britons famouse and obscure. "It's a fantastic honor," McCartney told the British news agency Press Association. "I am very gratefully receiving it on behalf of all th epeople of Liverpool and the other Beatles, without whom it wouldn't have been possible." McCartney and the other Beatles were honored with Member of the Order of the British Empire awards in 1965. In a long and succcessful career as a singer and songwriter, McCartney was knighted "for serveces to music." "I hope I can be worthy of it," McCartney said. From: Maloney81

Beatles Fans and their friends?

How many of you Beatle fans have friends who think you`re some kind of wacko because you like the Beatles? I, personally, have many. There are lots of kids who really don`t even know what a Beatles song sounds like but have already formulated the opinion that they suck. I happen to have a friend who actually admitted to me that he had never actually heard a Beatle song but didn`t like them. Lots of people are this way, but then turn around and go home and listen to Aerosmith`s Come Together, or Boyz 2 Men`s hack job of Yesterday. But they don`t like the Beatles. If you know people like that resist smacking them upside the head and screaming, "ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHING?!?!?!" and calmly try to explain that they really do like the Beatles wether they know it or not. We Beatlre fans know what they did for music and how much they rock. It`s our job to spread the knowledge and let everyone else in on it too. So if you find some one in the dark show them the light switch, they`ll thank you for it later. Meghan

A parole board will not be allowed to meet with MDC until the year 2000, first of all, and second, they will be aware of his devious little plot, and there is NO WAY he will be allowed out. Second, before any of this surfaced about his plan to go after the other three, I read an article that said it was highly unlikely he will ever be released, for his own safety...which is too bad in my opinion...I'm not a violent person, but if he ever got out............... Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Beatles, but I thought it would be better then the other 2, but I found out myself, that it wasn't. Sure, the songs are very good, but it wasn't at all like the other two. If you disagree with me, thats fine, but in my opinion, Anthology 3 was not very good. But all three put together makes a band that was on top of the world...That's all that matters to me. Why we love them...

From: Meg6212 Why do I like the Beatles? It is hard to list just one reason. Actually, I don't think it is just hard, it is impossible. I can't just give one singular reason why I have come to know and love the fab four. They have been and will always will be a very special part of my life. They keep me going when I am down. I know that all I have to do is listen to just one song, and it can cheer me up or make me think of things long gone. So why do you love the Beatles? Up beat (Updates on the Beatles)

From: DornyMaine NEW BEATLLES FILM Paul and Linda are working on a new Beatles short film. It's going to be a ten minutes long film made of still phtographs that Linda took. They have lots of rare and never seen before pictures since Linda was often the only photographer around. Some of the pictures include the making of Abbey Road. The best part about this new film is a new song as the soundtrack. It's called Carnival of Lights and isn't really a song but a piece of avante garde music that was written in 1967. The film is similar to one that Paul and Linda put together about the Greatful Dead which got great reviews and was included in a Sundance Film festival. I'm not sure when this new film will be released, but I think it's fairly soon. Beatles and Real Love Forever!! Dorny

Well, due to the lack of time this month.. you will all have to wait until next month...well a bigger and better newsletter/web page will be brewing. So stay tuned!!! If you have or know of a cool Beatles Site, please email the URL to me, Meg6212@aol.com....And I will be sure to get it posted in here next month and I will as post it on our links from our web site. I would also like to say that I am sorry because of the increasing members that you all get a very long addresse list at the beginning of your emails...especially all of you not on AOL...so besides being sorry, I would like to try to fix this. SO my question to you is, does anyone know how you can address an email and have it so they can only see one name, their own? I know it can be done... BCC or something? If anyone can help me out, I and the club will really be thankful. There are 2 new things (hopefully) coming to our web site soon: 1. The Beatles Member and the Beat Site Awards. For more info, you can check out our web page soon! 2. Our new and improved web survey. Ok, I know we send out those surveys before ( f you are a new member, you wouldn't have a clue as to what I am talking about ) But, now we have put together a new web form/survey that you can all stop by and fill out. Then the info can be sent back to me via email and I can put it in our database. It should be very helpful. The survey will as about some basic things such as your favorite Beatle, your birthday( to help start off are upcoming birthday surprise program ), etc.... Don't worry though, you don't have to fill one out ( but we hope you will ) and you can leave whatever you don't want to answer blank. Well, those are our goals for the next few months.
