The Big Bad Beatle Scare
Who's afraid of the big bad Mark David Chapman? Not the fans, I hope! I personally know of a Correctional Officer (C.O.) that works at Attica State, where Mark David Chapman is being held, and this C.O. just happens to be my uncle. Worried for my Beatles, I once interrogated him about Chapman. "He's never getting out," my uncle said, and he should know. I found out that whenever Chapman must do work around the prison, as in I don't know what exactly, he sometimes stresses himself out. Because of this, he locks himself up in his cell and doesn't come out for about a month. He also has a guitar and plays John Lennon songs to himself once in awhile. To taunt him, the C.O.s sometimes play Beatles' songs over the speakers, just to drive Chapman mad. Like he isn't already. Anyway, it is highly unlikely that any parole officer would let Mark David Chapman walk the streets again. He's too insane. I hope that this article puts your fears to rest. If not, why don't we fans band together and send Chapman some John Lennon cassettes to annoy him? From: RStarr3 Ok, well, as I am sure many of you know, there is a fako out there. IAMLENNON is his name. He has been sending many of us a "new improved Beatles list, the largest one known to man!". That is all completely fake, he caused me to get 167 peices of mail ine day, 162 about the "list". If he ever asks you about being on a Beatles list, or anything of the sort, do not do it! He has been reported 122 times for mail violation and other various things. *******stay away from him, unless you want a full mailbox!************ Thanks, and stay away----RStarr3 From: StrwberyF
Young People and The Beatles
There are alot of young people(Like me) who loves The Beatles. When I talk to people online there are alot of teenagers that love them. There isn't any bands around that have an impact on people like the Beatles did in the 60's. So when people here about them now, they kind of get hooked which happened to me when I was five. It is alot of fun collecting Beatles things. They were a great group and the always will be. From: Ringo84
MY DREAM
This story is about a dream, or at least I think it was a dream, that I had. One night, I woke up suddenly, I didnt look at the clock, so i dont know what time it was. I saw something on the floor, so I bent down and picked it up, it was a present, the tag read: "From Us To You". I slowly opened it up. The next thing I remember is: "Riding On A Bus". I lokked around and I noticed a sign that said: "Magical Mystery Tour". I was in shock. I asked the driver where we were, he said: " Penny Lane". Then he said we were coming to: "The Octopus's Garden", then next we were stopping at Strawberry Fields", then off to "Abbey Road", then "Blue Jay Way", then to "Pepperland". Then he said we get dropped of in Pepperland. After we visited all those places, and we're dropped off in Pepperland, we boarded: The "Yellow Submarine". The Sub took us: "Across The Universe". Then we watched "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" perform. Then for some reason everyone was OOOing and AHHing, and lokking up. I looked up, and I saw: "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds". We walked down: "The Long and Winding Road". "This Boy" walked up to me and said: "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". He was nice and cute, so I did. He asked me how I was, I said: "I Feel Fine". I asked him his name, said: "Jude", but people call me "Docter Robert". We walked by: "The Sea Of Holes". We went dancing at some club. I asked him how he was feeling. He said: "It's Been A Hard Days Night", but "I'm Happy Just To Dance With You". All of a sudden: "All You Need Is Love" started o play. An all 4 of The Beatles appeared in front of me. They shoke my hand and went on the stage and performed: "Hello, Goodbye". After that all I remember is waking up on the floor of my bedroom. What a weird but TOTALY AWESOME dream. ( well, maybe it wasn't a dream) From: Val 3183 I would like every one to know that the book The Love You make is full of lies, expesially the thing about John and Brian being a little more than friends and it has been said by people that come in Beatles room, THAT IS A LIE DON'T BELIVE IT. From: Vlebo Little Known Facts About John Lennon: 1.)By the age of 15 John was Elvis's biggest fan 2.)The first instrument John played as a child was the accordion 3.)His mother thaught him how to play an old Spanish guitar as if it was a banjo 4.)John was reared by his mother sister, Mimi Smith 5.)Breakfast was ALWAYS John favorite meal, and he ALWAYS ate his Shredded Wheat and honey bran biscuits with orange marmalade Books about John Lennon: 99 Little Known Facts About John Lennon From: BIGGLESWAD I read in Rolling Stone that Paul McCartney is going to be releasing a new album, for the 1st time in 4 Years. It is called "Flaming Pie" in refrence to John Lennon's dream that a man on a FLAMING PIE came to him and said, " You are beetles with an A." John took this "man's" advice and called his group ""The Beatles."
John Lennon
Some people make John Lennon out to be the best man that ever walked on the face of the earth. I don't understand why? John Lennon was a very good man but still he flawed. If John was all he is made out to be, he would never have taken drugs or said the Beatles were bigger than Jesus! No way possible that John was that way. John was a human being he sinned, he cried, and he died. Every man or woman that has ever been on earth has sinned, cried, and has or will, die. The only person that was ever perfect was Jesus. So, how then could they ever be bigger than Jesus? I'm sorry if you disagree, but i am a strong believer in God, and Christ. John Lennon was a good man. From: DayC123 Hello! This is in response to the Beatlefest article. Well, I would just like everyone to know that I'm going to Beatlefest!!!!! That's right. Me and my friend are going on March 23. But don't worry if you would like to know, I'll be happy to share all the details with everyone! OK, that's all. Bye! Peace, Love, Happiness & The Beatles! =o) -Dana From: Windchild -There was a beatle board game call flip your wigs which was real pouplar in the 60's -They also had an ice cream bar From: BeatleGal4 The Beatles! The Beatles! are the best! in the north south east and west. The British band went on tour, young girls hearts began to soar. They screamed, they cried, they pulled their hair, Beatle lovers were everywhere. They had some "Hard Day Nights" and inbetween, Along came "HELP!" which they didn't need, Paul was dead, (or so they said), to India is where they fled. With music and drugs on their mind, True peace they went to find The Fab Four just could not be stopped, then their the magical bubble popped. They left the band, with John and Yoko hand in hand. Now thats the end, there is no more, the world is silent without the Fab Four. - By: BeatleGal4 and friend Tara A cool poem:
The Beatles were like a flower, they played and played with all their power. The flower became good and strong, because everyone liked the Beatles' songs. The Beatles broke-up to get off the road, they went to thier families and their homes. In 1980 the flower was gone, because John Lennon had sang his last song. George, Paul Ringo, and John will Live in our hearts forever on.---Lennon6
From: REELMACK In the newsletter #2 I wrote an article on what to do if someone teases you about like the beatles. Well that was kind of a joke. I decided to write another article only this one is SERIOUS. If someone says you do illegal drugs to be like the Beatles tell them that YOU are an individual. YOU don't have to try to be like someone just because you think they're cool. Tell them that YOU aren't a Beatle this isn't the 1960's and that they should just grow up! From: Beatles775
Is Paul Dead?
Is Paul McCartney dead? That's was the question on many of the teenagers minds in the 60's. It's on my mind, too. I was surfing the web one day and I found so many clues about this mystery. There are so many hidden pictures, lyrics, and clues in the Beatles songs and CD(record) covers and booklets. Some clues are not as great as others but some are very scary. One of my favorites is that On the Abbey Road cover Ringo is the Pallbearer, John is the Priest, Paul is the deseased, and George is the gravedigger. Also, I have heard that on the Magical Mystery Tour cover, you can hold it up to a mirror, and then see numbers to call to see if Paul is dead/was dead/has died. I really can't say if I think Paul id dead or not but there sure are some convincing clues. If you'd like to check out the web site of " Paul is Dead" click here: PAUL IS DEAD . To e-mail me with new or more clues my name is Beatles775. I will also tell you about the clues my friend and I found. As I said before.... Is Paul dead? From: Meg6212 In London on March 11th 1997, Sir Paul McCartney went to Buckingham Palace to receive his knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II. He was dressed in a tailcoated morning suit, and he arrived alone in a chauffer-driven limousine and waved to 100 screaming fans who had waited at the gates for hours. The 54-year-old pop star, who was awarded the knighthood in December for ''services to music,'' has been praised for his work for charity and establishemnt of a school for young performers in his native Liverpool. Due to Linda still recovering from treatment for her breast cancer, she did not go with Paul. Also, none of their four children joined their father either. A spokesman said Lady McCartney was alright and was working at home on two books. The crowd of well-wishers was enthusiastic but nothing like the thousands who packed the Mall, the broad boulevard leading to the palace, on the day in 1965 when the queen honored the Fab Four as Members of the Order of the British Empire. Fans wore T-shirts with "Sir Paul'' and "Arise Sir Paul'' emblazoned across the chest, and sang a medley of the group's songs, including ``Yellow Submarine'' and ``Hard Day's Night.'' Two Belgian Beatles fans, Ocula Didier, 32, and Tonnelei Pascal, 33, were among the waiting fans. "You can see how popular Paul McCartney is from the diverse range of people here,'' Didier said. "He touches all levels of society, rich, poor, old and young." "He's sensitive about everyday problems and it shows in his songs.'' Jean Catharell, head of the international fan club, The Liverpool Beatles Scene, with 850 members worldwide, came from Liverpool for the event. "He deserves this for his great services to music,'' she said. By - Megan ( Meg6212 ) Some Info Copyright 1997 The Associated Press. ***Update*** Paul had 3 tickets for family members to go. Linda didn't go, so that 3 of their kids could go, instead of just two. From: LuvBtles13 In case some of you who live in California don't know yet, there's a new radio station that plays ONLY Beatles music! it's KGIL, 1260 AM. sometimes the reception is a little bad but who cares, it's the Beatles! and they're holding a contest to win the Gold record of Hey Jude and Yesterday!! you're supposed to listen all day long for a 45 they announce, and when you hear it you send it in (they announce the address that morning) and that's your entry to win the gold single. this may seem high on the "duh" list but just in case you hadn't heard. The contest runs until the 28th, this coming Friday, and they're going to announce who won it on the 1st of April. Of course, that's April Fool's Day, so the whole thing might be a fake, but I doubt it! This is vacation, so you've got a lot of time to listen all day long for the 45 of the day! oh, and it only happens monday-friday, so this week's our last chance! good luck all! Sarah, aka LuvBtles13 From: Beatles369 This isn't a total list of stuff, but here's some info on the Beatles auction in Japan: Paul's BIRTH CERTIFICATE sold for a whopping $84,000.00 Although Paul (and I) believes that it's wrong for SOMEONE ELSE, to own HIS Birth Certificate. Also, McCartney's own hand-written lyrics to the fantastic MMT song, 'Penny Lane' were halted from the auction block by him because... um, I dunno... From: SunnieKat Beatle Quotes Here are some things Beatles actually said. I found this really interesting, and I hope you will too. Paul: "Once you start analyzing something and looking into it, things appear and tie in. If you look at everything with a black attitude, then it's all black." Paul: "We didn't worry about the fact that we didn't know anything about making films and had never made one before. We realized years ago you don't need knowledge in this world to do anything." John: "We laughed at America. Except for the music." (The Beatles on receiving an award:) John: We had to do a lot of selling out then. Accepting the MBE (award) was a sell-out for me." Ringo: "I will keep it to wear when I'm old." George: I dodn't think you got anything like this for playing rock and roll." Paul: "What does that make my dad?" John (on Sgt. Pepper:) "Sgt. Pepper was the one. We were at our peak. Paul and I worked together, especially on 'A Day in the Life'....We would meet each other, I would sing, and he'd add the next bit." From: RAAONE Beatle Tribute I just went to a really cool concert of these guys who sorta look like the beatles and they sang all of their songs. It was so cool. All the teens got up and were dancing in the front and screaming (I was screaming "John" and I sounded like the girl in Anthology 2 when they were at Blackpool) He sang Imagine and people were holding up lighters. It was kind of funny because 1) we were inside and 2) there were only 4 people with lighters. I also went to a rock and roll buy/trade/sell thing and I bought Live in New York city-John, Live peace in Toronto-John (it's still wrapped!) And a cool pin of john and yoko kissing and it's heart shaped with All you need is love at the top! So I had a fun beatles month! Bye- Rachel Ps- i loved the smiley faces! Fab Forum?
I have gotten a really great response so far about the idea of a Beatles Forum, run by the Fab Four Forever Club. Most of you seem to be really behind it too. I will keep all of you updated on what is going on with this project. With all of you behind me, I'm sure we can get this to happen! Here is what some of you said about the idea: From: Beatles369 I'm glad to see someone else has an interest with the Beatles Forum. A few weeks ago, I emailed a suggestion to AOL about having a BEATLES CONFERENCE room... they said it was a great idea, but it would be while if anything at all happened. Well, with ALL of the members of the Fab Four Forever club behind pushing... it could happen! well, best of luck... gotta run! Later Lance ~{:c) From: Beatles369 Anyways... I used to goto Keyword :BEATLES alot. But when they took it down, I didn't go anymore. Although it's still there I know EVERYTHING that they had on it. (P.S. It was the area for the ANTHOLOGY TV SPECIAL ON ABC... so after it was aired the last time, they dropped it.) The Chat room was for all ABC television shows, ex: on Sat nites when Beatle fans were chatting, people from the ABC TV show "Relativity" (it's not on anymore) came in and took the room over. It'd be Great to have just a Beatles Conference room! (The GRATEFUL DEAD have one.. X-FILES have one... why cant us beatle-freaks have one?) But it would be even better to re-open keyword BEATLES and have a WHOLE AREA devoted to the boys. If we (FFF Club) ever contact AOL, and we're able to "design" the place ourselves, I'd LOVE to "be in charge", or just be a BIG part of making the dream a reality! To suggest something to AOL... goto keyword: SUGGEST. Then pick the right options.... Later! Lance ~{:c) Hi Everyone, Well, I said that I would keep you all posted..... so farm not much has happened.. I have a phone numbet that I will be calling soon relating to the forum situation, but otherwise I am still waiting for a reply from AOL. I will send something else if I do not get a response soon. If anyone else has any ideas, please email Meg6212 and tell me. Also, remember I will need as many of you all as I can to back this thing up, but I'm sure we don't even need to worry about that right now. Well, anywau, that is what I know, I will try to post more soon, Bye -Meg
Corrections Ok, I know that because of a certain article that was posted in the last newsletter, I have recieved many many corrections, so I though I should devote a section of the newsletter to clear up any problems tha tmay be left over. So here is the artcile, a message from the author, and all the messages from all of you. Hope this helps, Bye -Meg Here is the oringial newsletter article from last time: From: MSU1000000 Beatles Facts
1. The Beatle hairdo got created when George was staying in a hotel in Germany. He went swimming and his hair got all weird. He didn't have a comb, brush, or hair dryer, so he left it like that and everyone wanted to make it look like that. George said "it was a fluke!" 2. Paul's fave food is steak. His birthday is June 18, 1942. 3. John got shot by Mark Chapman in 1980. His birthday is October 9, 1942. Chapman is still in jail today. Check here next time for more great Beatle facts! CORRECTIONS IN ARTICLE
All I know is that in my 1964 magazine about
the beatles there are biographies about all of the members of the band. It said that each
one wrote it themselves. And Paul said his favorite food was specificly steak. I'm sorry
but maybe he became a vegetarian later on or something. And about John's birth year, I am
the one who messed up. Sorry. I just get Paul and John mixed up a lot. At least I got his
birthday right! I have to jam that information into my head (1940, 1940, 1940)! And about
the hairdo, it says in George's biography that he wrote himself that he was in a swimming
pool in Germany. I don't know. Maybe that stuff in the magazine that was published in 1964
is really written by the company, not the beatles themselves. You guys are all great at
pointing out these facts. Sorry about the messup. from BBALL245 From: Beatles775 Paul is a
vegaterian so how can his fav food be steak? From: Gruffy1044 Um, about the facts: I think
Paul's favorite food WAS steak, because he's a vegetarian, right? -Katie From: BeatleKity
In the Beatles facts part, John's was born in 1940, not 1942! From: Gruffy1044 Okay, I
suddenly remember something. I read in an old interview when the Beatles were just
becoming popular that his favorite food was steak, so perhaps that was what this person
read too. -Katie : ) From: BIGGLESWAD Paul's fav. food isn't steak. He's a vegetarian.
From: DopieOpie Hi! In your newsletter, you said that Paul's favorite food is steak. But
he's a vegetarian! Where did you hear that from? Oh, well, that's ok. I love the
newsletter! Oh, yeah, and in a Beatle approved book and other sources, it says that Stu
Sutcliffe's fiance Astrid Kirchherr came up with their hairstyle. But both could be true,
i don't know. Bye! DopieOpie From: FMurray383 Regarding the Beatles facts in the last
newsletter: -The Beatle hair cut was not originated by George Harrison it was originated
by Stuart Sutcliffs girlfriend, Astrid, in Hamburg when he was still in the band. -Paul's
fave food is not steak, he is a vegetarian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -John Lennon was
not born in 1942 he was born in 1940. I would suggest that you make sure that what you
write is correct before you send it out!!!!!!!!!!!!

HoneyPie84 Mistake: I noticed a mistake in the "Beatles Facts" section put in by
someone. John's b-day was in 1940, not in '42. Oh, and, maybe I got the wrong info but,
how could Paul's favorite food be steak if he's a vegitarian? I'm sorry if I bugged
anybody by putting this in, but I just thought that you would like to know. -Paula :-)
From: Shake3 Meg you`ve got some messed up Beatle facts 1) A German friend of the Beatles
and Stu Sutcliffe`s girlfriend started the beatle hair cut. She did it to Stu who then
influenced the othere Beatles 2) Paul doesn`t eat steak he`s a vegetarian!!!! Who wrote
these? (I`m not being rude I really want to know) Meghan From: Shake3 About the Paul
thing- I have some vintage Beatle fan magazines (they`re full of bogus info but they`re
amusing) and it said that in there. Also that thing George I heard him say in magazine
from that. The first one is farirly inexcusable Paul`s a vegetarian we all know that but
the Beatles did have a tendency to lie about trivial things just to make life interesting,
You really have to be a Beatle scholar to know what is and isn`t true it just sounds like
he isn`t all that knowledgable yet. Meghan

Beatle Beginnings (Why you like the Beatles)
I like the beatles because they make me feel better when I am depressed. Especially the song "In My Life". It's cool. I can't really describe how I began to just like them. I used to call them "The Beats" when I was 4. I think I had always liked them. I remember "Paperback Writer". I loved that song. The first time I heard it I was also at age 4. I don't know. I just like the Beatles for who they really are and for their music. The Beatles. Now and forever. From: Hole241578 This is how I came to be a Beatles fan. I forget when, but it all started when the Beatles Anthology was showing on Telly. ( T.V.) I wanted to watch it because I had no clue what they looked like or sounded like. So, I taped all 3 of them and watched them over and over again. I was hooked. Now I have some of their Cd's. They are my fav band! My friends think I'm really weird because I like a old band. But coming from me, their NOT old. BEATLES 4 EVER!!! From: Jobeatle
Why I Like The Beatles
I thought about it for a while and i came to the conclusion that i like the Beatles because; 1. I LOVE their music, 2. I think they are cute! 3. the anthology helped me to hear what the Beatles sounded like and what they where like as a person. I had never really heard of the Beatles before the anthology! Those are just three of the reasons why i like the Beatles there are probably some more, except i just can't think of any! - Jobeatle From: BeatleGal4 HELLO!! Well you asked about people to write why they like the Beatles. Well I like them because they just make me feel good when I'm sad. I like EVERY song and every one of them. Maybe Paul a little more because, no contest, he was the hottest. But also, all their songs expressed how they felt and what they wanted. Like the song Help!, John wrote it because he was trying to tell people that being a Beatle wasn't all that great and he wanted to get away. Or Michelle, that beautiful French girl that Paul was goo-goo-ga-ga about. But all their songs had meaning to them which makes them special. They were also just DAMN (pardon me) good songs. I wish I actually lived during the "mania" so I could see my loveable lads during there Beatle age in action. Oh well! Just always remember,"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." - BeatleGal4 From: SunnieKat I love the Beatles because their music has meaning. Some songs really cheer me up, others put me in a gloomy mood, but they're all real music, which is getting hard to find these days. Their music has real meaning and the ability to make an impression on someone.
